Also in the Putumayo, the conversion of natural ecosystems for the agricultural land use and mineral extraction is one of the principal motors of biodiversity loss, climate change and has severe repercussions on local lives, social fabrics and biocultural diversity.
We had a knowledge exchange with women who are taking care of and defending the Amazonian territory. What characterizes current living there? How could we imagine an equitable future to preserve the Colombian Amazon? For this aim we collaborated with the project Oro Vital by the Colombian artist Pedro Ruiz which aims to reflect on the cultural and environmental richness of the country with different Colombian populations.
